Oracle goes Cloudy

Oracle hosted its second global event series Cloudworld in Delhi on Wednesday where senior company executives showcased Oracle Cloud to an enthusiastic response from customers,partners and developers.

  It is a million dollar opportunity in India and its main focus is to cover the government,BFSI,healthcare and telecom sector to deliver more personalized,connected and secure solutions.
 
   According to Sandeep Mathur ,The Managing Director says " India is emerging market for oracle and the growth of our cloud market has been unprecedented".. "Cloud adoption has gone main stream. We are already one of the leading cloud s/w companies in the world,and will invest heavily in building this business"

 According to Garter,India will be spending around $3.9billion on cloud where as $1.7 Billion will be spent on Software as a service (Saas). And it is expected to grow to around 33.6% in 2013 to 404 billion from 303 billion in 2012. And by 2015 India CEO is expecting majority of IT to run on cloud.

 The main focus according the Oracle President Mark Hurd  is to offer choice and flexibilty to the user or the customer with utmost features of cloud and related data..
