Maritime Horizon .

" There are no kings on the seas, only god is .
However when it comes to taming and
tapping the sea, there are leaders and followers.
Who, in the Indian context, are the leaders,is a no-brainer.
It is Gujarat maritime board-the maritime brand of India."

This is what 'Narendra Modi' has quoted on his Gujarat Maritime Board , an in-house magazine. This was the January edition that got unveiled today . It comprises of thoughts, plans, objectives of the port development in the state through an article in the magazine in a cohesive manner.
Chief Minister claims that this is the sign for the ports not seen on a stand-alone basis, but should be seen in terms of overall logistics infrastructure thereby providing access of port facilities even to the land locked states.
Gujarat is known for handling 35% of the country's traffic henceforth its contribution to the country is tremendous. What makes it stand out is , it added almost 228 MMTPA(Million Metric Tonnes Per Annum) to its port capacity , which is highest so far by nay state.
So the days are not so far when one can rejoice seeing an Indian Port in the list of top global names. =)
For further insight into the magazine click here .. http://www.narendramodi.in/wp-content/uploads/2014/01/Horizon-GujaratMeritimeBoard.pdf .
